Let the People Talk
People talk and it's not always in a good way. However, talk is good regardless of whether the meaning behind it has good intentions or not. There is no such thing as bad press, and after all if they are talking about you it means they know about you, right? Dali thought so...
In my house, Salvador Dali is pretty much considered a genius, through both his work and his eccentric mannerisms and personality. His sense of style was completely off the wall, and the man could turn a phrase so well that it would even impress Stephen Fry. Not only was Dali a world renowned Surrealist painter and master of the optical illusion, but he also left his distinct mark on the graphic design world through his globally famous Chupa Chups logo. Truly, he was an inspirational figure for all those connected to art in any shape or form.
As a small tribute to him, and as an opportunity for me to try out some graphic design techniques, I have created a motivational poster using my favorite quote by the Spanish master: “Lo important es que hablen de ti aunque sea bien” – The important thing is that people talk about you, even if they speak well.
