Dawn of the Dead BIOS

Sometimes we form an emotional attachment to our things. Most of the time it's quite un-healthy and maybe it was the same for me and my old PC. However, after 7 years of loyal service, it has decided that the constant moving and reformatting is too much for it to handle. Shame really, it'll never know how Windows 8 felt to run...

This weekend has been a bit of a sad weekend. After 7 long years of devoted service, my PC has finally decided to retire and set sail into the computing sunset. This trusty friend followed me all the way from Fife, to Aberdeen and then to the several flats I moved into during my 5 years there, until its final resting place in Stonehaven. The truth is, the kit is far too old and has been needing an upgrade for a while, and at approximately 7:00pm on Sunday 18th November 2012, the poor wee thing decided enough was enough.

In honor of my PC’s un-questionable loyalty and commitment, I have created a quick design piece, which was originally supposed to reflect the gracefulness of its exit. However, that may have become twisted after my mind has gone a little off into the Frankenstein way of thinking and is already plotting my recycling process with a new creation, which will allow me to use some old parts.

In any case, here is the full version of the poster, enjoy and think of your forgotten but trustworthy computers at home, work, or anywhere you use them. If you don’t, they may not be so forgiving if they return from the dead…
